Look iconic – visit Eyeconic at Bay Street

Trendy, affordable sunglasses and watches with an almost infinite choice are what you can expect at the newly opened Eyeconic outlet within the Retail Lounge Level 0 at Bay Street, St Julian’s.
Owners Angela and David Delicata, who have being operating shops at Bay Street almost since inception have no fewer than four outlets on Level 0 at Bay Street, the others being ZeroTwo, Dolce and Misto.
Totally renovating their outlet which now offers a more refreshing look and feel, Eyeconic has over a thousand different models of sunglasses on display, apart from an impressive array of watches.
The keyword is affordability with kids’ sunglasses starting from €5 and adult sunglasses varying in price from €7 to €35, with the most elaborate pairs going for just €50.
“This is a unique outlet in Malta,” Mr Delicata said, with great enthusiasm since initial reaction to the new outlet has been highly positive. “We are giving our clients such a large choice not only in the styles and models but in the varieties of colours and combinations that one can choose from,” he added.
The sunglasses collections include X Loop, Arctic Blue, Biohazard, Locs, Manhattan and Choppers for the men, whilst women are spoilt for choice with Giselle, VG, Romance, Black Society, CG and NYS. There is also a selection of over-the-counter reading glasses with a similarly large choice of frames.
The watches, which come in the €18-€65 range, include fashion watches, classical or dressy, colourful pieces, metal finishes and sports watches emblazoned with bezels and split timing options. There are two main brands, Y & K for the men and Yaki for women.
Although David and Angela have offered sunglasses and watches in their other outlets before, this is the first strategic focus solely on these two product ranges. “We are moving with the times and we are confident that there is an appreciative market out there for our offering,” Mr Delicata said.
