HSBC Malta celebrates the successes of its outstanding employees

HSBC Bank Malta celebrated 19 employees for their outstanding commitment to the highest excellence and standards during an accolades ceremony held at the annual colleagues’ townhall.
The ‘At Our Best Excellence Awards’ recognise those employees who lead the way in keeping HSBC and its business at the forefront of the industry. The 2018 townhall was held against the backdrop of the bank retaining the prestigious ‘Bank of the Year’ title for the second year running. HSBC Malta was awarded this accolade by ‘The Banker’ magazine in November.
The awards recognised various attributes such as customer service, conduct and values, corporate sustainability, teamwork as well a growth initiatives across the bank.
The winners of the individual and team categories were Suzanne Stafrace, Rosalie Hili, Pierre Brincat, Matthew Cordina, Ivan Borg, John Farrugia, Jean-Paul Attard, Graziella Grech, Kurt Hollyoak, Jessica Sciberras Azzopardi, Anthony Felice, Matthew Cordina, Wayne Spiteri, Tonio Frendo, Adrian Sammut, Anita Camilleri, and Kenneth Barbara.
A new special award was launched this year following the sudden demise of HSBC Malta’s Head of Human Resources Gareth Williams late last year. The ‘Gareth Williams Award for Excellence’ was presented by the bank’s CEO Andrew Beane to Maryrose Camilleri and Rose Marie Borg. The award recognises employees who have demonstrated the outstanding qualities which Gareth believed in.
HSBC Malta CEO Andrew Beane said: “I am truly honoured to work alongside all of my colleagues in the bank and I would like to thank them for their dedication and hard work in the last year. In particular, I would like to congratulate all the nominees and winners of the ‘At Our Best Excellence Awards’.”
