Chloe Cauchi wins the JCI Malta Public Speaking Competition

Young Gozitan Chloe Cauchi emerged as the winner of the JCI Malta National Public Speaking Competition on Saturday, 9 April. Chloe will represent JCI Malta at the JCI European Conference this June in Bruges, Belgium, thanks to the support of 4C Personnel.
The participants all had to prepare and deliver a 5-7 minute speech titled ‘Is cancel culture the new social media phenomenon?’ The title was chosen by JCI Malta members through an anonymous polling system.
Three judges, JCI Malta National President Giselle Borg Olivier, and JCI Malta Senators Annalisa Schembri and Rachel Cassar, unanimously agreed that Chloe’s speech and delivery ticked all the boxes necessary for a JCI public speaking competition.
Prior to the final, all participants were given two training sessions on how to develop and deliver a speech with the opportunity to practise speaking in front of an audience in a safe and informal setting.
“The JCI Malta Public Speaking Competition is a flagship initiative for JCI de Rohan and I am pleased with the level of the participants who applied and very satisfied with the outcome. This initiative is just one of a series of events that are planned for the year under the theme ‘Find Your Niche’ as JCI de Rohan is concerned with personal and professional self-development for its members,” said Johann Agius, Local President of JCI de Rohan.
For other public speaking opportunities, the public is invited to contact JCI Malta via email on info@jcimalta.org.
The project is funded through the Voluntary Organisations Project Scheme managed by the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector on behalf of the Ministry for Social Inclusion and Wellbeing.
JCI Malta is supported by its Corporate Partners: 230 Works, Chitzo, Content for Success, JPA, UP Your Level Performance Coaching, Veonio, Zaar, and Zampa Debattista.
