ALL BOV’S HOME FINANCE HUBS NOW OPEN ACROSS MALTA

Last Two Hubs Open in Fgura and Ħal Qormi

Bank of Valletta has completed the planned rollout of its Home Finance Hub network, with the official openings in Fgura and Ħal Qormi marking the final stage in a new service model designed to make home financing smoother and more personal. The four Hubs provide dedicated home-finance support across Malta.

Together, the four Hubs create a dedicated home-finance network serving customers across Malta. Specialists support customers from their first enquiry through to sanction, reducing handovers, improving communication and providing greater clarity and confidence throughout the home-loan process.

BOV Chief Executive Officer Kenneth Farrugia remarked that the completed network builds on the Bank’s competitive interest rates and comprehensive range of financing solutions. He said, “Buying a home is one of the most important decisions our customers take, committing their investment over a number of years. Consequently, we are ensuring we have the appropriate professional and dedicated set-up, and highly trained personnel to support our customers. With our Home Finance Hubs now fully established, we are making the path to home ownership more efficient and reassuring. By bringing specialist support closer to customers, we can provide clearer guidance, quicker decisions and a consistent, personalised service at every stage of the home-loan journey. We are targeting a ten-day turnaround to sanction.”

Simon Azzopardi, Chief Personal and Wealth Officer, noted the response to the Home Finance Hubs opened earlier this year had been very positive, with customers welcoming the more focused support, clearer guidance and efficient service offered throughout the home-financing process. “This model is designed to give customers greater clarity and confidence at an important moment in their lives. With this concept, we are taking decisions as close to the customers as possible,” he said.

BOV Chairperson Dr Gordon Cordina described the Home Finance Hubs as a strategic investment in the Bank’s ability to meet one of the most important financial needs of Maltese households: access to sustainable home finance. Looking ahead, he highlighted opportunities for the banking sector in home financing, given the value of property in Malta, while acknowledging the challenges posed by evolving customer expectations and digitalisation. “As Malta’s leading provider of home loans, the Bank plays a significant role in the residential property market, which is central to Malta’s economy and to BOV’s business model,” he said.

BOV Independent Non-Executive Director Deborah Schembri highlighted that, for many customers, mortgage is much more than a financial transaction. For the customers, it is often the key step towards building a future. “The Home Finance Hub reflects the Bank’s strategic focus on placing customers at the centre of everything we do”. The Bank is continuously investing in its capabilities, people, and processes to make the mortgage journey simpler, faster, and more efficient, while maintaining the personal service and trusted advice that our customers value. “Trust remains at the heart of the Bank’s approach”. She thanked everyone involved in making the project a reality, particularly all staff members whose dedication and professionalism continue to make a difference every day.

The Fgura Home Finance Hub is situated above the BOV Branch in Triq Hompesch. Meanwhile, the Ħal Qormi Hub is located in Triq San Bastjan, where branch services were offered during the refurbishment of the branch in Triq il-Knisja Arċipretali. Customers may visit the Hub serving their region for specialist support throughout their home-financing process.
