Free pizzas for hospital heroes and children in homes

During these unprecedented times, a simple gesture of kindness goes a long way especially when one least expects it.
The team at Lama Group, the franchisee of Alice Pizza in St’ Julian’s Malta, has decided to do this and give a much deserved boost to two sectors of the Maltese community during these trying times, by delivering free pizzas to the frontline people fighting the pandemic at the Accident and Emergency Department and the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Mater Dei Hospital, as well as to the children residing in five church homes across Malta. This amounts to well over 260 people benefiting from this gesture.
“We believe that as part of the Maltese community, we ought to give back especially during such times. This is why we came up with the idea for this initiative,” said Luigi Martone, Chief Executive Officer of Alice Pizza Malta.
Aref Kashar, Chief Operating Officer at Alice Pizza Malta added: “These are people who deserve some extra love and care – our heroic medical staff in hospital and children in various residential homes. We hope we can put a smile on their face as they enjoy our pizza together.”
With the help of Wolt delivery service, Alice Pizza will be delivering to the residential crèches and homes run by the Ursuline Sisters of St Angela Merici, as well as to the St Patrick’s residential service run by the Salesians of Don Bosco, which provides adolescents and young persons a home away from home due to personal or social circumstances.
Alice Pizza is catering for the various food allergies and intolerances when preparing these pizzas and providing the necessary labelling on the pizza delivery boxes.
Alice Pizza has been in operation in Malta since December 2018 and is part of the famed international pizza franchise with 170 pizza-by-weight outlets throughout Italy, USA and other parts of the world.
