Freeport welcomes airport intersection project
Malta Freeport Terminals welcomes the proposal by Infrastructure Malta to undertake the airport intersection project in Gudja, which will be of immense benefit to the business community.
Freeport CEO Alex Montebello said: “Constructing two new tunnels and a flyover will significantly improve congestion and cut down on journey times which will have a positive impact on businesses and is expected to boost their operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.
“Malta Freeport and Malta International Airport are two strategic pillars of the Maltese economy and improving transport links to ensure they can be reached more easily is a significant step forward.”
Through regular services operating from Malta Freeport, local businesses can reach 111 ports worldwide on a weekly basis, 54 of which are in the Mediterranean, as well as providing swift links to air routes, which is why improving logisitics for its clients is so important.
