Talks by Prof John Simpson
PROF. JOHN SIMPSON who was Chief Editor of the Oxford English Dictionary for 20 years (1993-2013), will soon be in Malta as a guest of the Department of Maltese at the University and the Kunsill Nazzjonali tal-Ilsien Malti. He will deliver three talks for which everyone is invited.
All three talks will be held in Dar l-Ewropa, 254 Triq San Pawl, Valletta.
Prof. Simpson has presided over the major programme of change from the printed version of the Oxford English Dictionary to the electronic and online versions. The visit to Malta of such an important lexicographer should serve as an inspiration for the current development of a Maltese Online Dictionary.
