St Ignatius College has made the fifty paintings submitted for its sixth annual art competition available online at https://sic.projects.skola.edu.mt/
This year’s virtual exhibition is entitled AMBJENT (Environment) and has a special emphasis on marine biology. Despite the fact that the COVID-19 outbreak meant it was impossible to open the physical exhibition to visitors, the College still aims to raise funds for Puttinu Cares through the event. All the paintings included in the exhibition are, in fact, for sale and anyone interested in buying a painting may can contact Mr Emmanuel Zammit on emmanuel_zammit@yahoo.com, stating his/her full name, mobile number, and the painting number they are interested in. Prices will be provided on request.
Maria Pace, College Principal of St Ignatius College, said, “Our special thanks go to all the students who willingly submitted art works for our annual exhibition. I would also like to give a heartfelt thanks to all the students who participated in the choirs which were set up by every school in the College with the aim of animating the official opening. Although, in the end, these performances could not take place, the College is infinitely grateful to the art and music teachers who prepared and assisted all participating students through this year’s artistic voyage.”

The annual St Ignatius College art exhibition was sponsored, as in previous years, by the HSBC Malta Foundation. In addition, the exhibition was co-financed by AquaBioTech Group, as part of their activities to support schools and increasing awareness of the marine environment.
