Ozzy Lino Announces 48-Hour Singathon to Raise Awareness for Mental Health
Household name Ozzy Lino will take on a remarkable 48-Hour Singathon to raise awareness for mental health. Organised in collaboration with Caritas, the Mental Health Association Gozo, the Richmond Foundation, and Esplora Interactive Science Centre, the event will take place from 6 to 8 February 2026 at the Planetarium Hall, Esplora, Villa Bighi, Kalkara.
The 48-Hour Singathon will be a one-of-a-kind endurance event combining live music, stamina, and community for a powerful cause. Ozzy Lino will perform live and non-stop for 48 hours, singing every song himself and accompanied by a rotating lineup of guest singers and musicians.
During this marathon, there will also be other local artists accompanying Ozzy Lino. These will be announced in the coming days.
“This isn’t a concert — it’s a test of the human spirit,” said Ozzy. “Singing for 48 hours demands more than vocal stamina. It’s a battle against fatigue, emotion, and the physical limits of the body.” Throughout the two-day challenge, Ozzy will face quiet hours, surges of adrenaline, and moments of doubt — and keep singing. Every breath, lyric, and chord will be a testament to resilience and purpose.
Xjenza Malta CEO Mr Silvio Scerri commented on the initiative, saying: “This 48-Hour Singathon is a remarkable act of endurance and solidarity. By using the power of music to open conversations about mental health, this initiative reminds us that awareness, compassion, and community action can truly make a difference. Xjenza Malta is proud to support an event that transforms creativity into meaningful social impact.”
Marica Cassar, PR & Fundraising Manager at Caritas Malta, thanked Ozzy and his team for this great initiative, which has a twofold impact for Caritas. Beyond the fundraising aspect, which greatly supports the organisation as it continues to evolve its free mental health services—the initiative itself is deeply inspiring.Through this 48-hour singing challenge, Ozzy will demonstrate strength, resilience, and determination in overcoming all odds to reach the ‘finishing line’.
This resonates strongly with Caritas’ mission, as it highlights the positive and natural highs that can be achieved through singing and the arts, providing a powerful outlet for self-expression, emotions, and the challenges faced by those struggling with mental health issues and drug abuse. Caritas Malta encourages the general public to support this 48-hour singathon, not only by making a donation but also by attending the event and showing their support for Ozzy.
Pauline Camilleri, President of the Mental Health Association Gozo said “The Mental Health Association Gozo (MHAG) is pleased to be part of this ambitious 48-hr Singathon with Ozzylino, alongside two other community organisations, in a joint effort to raise funds and promote mental health awareness across Malta and Gozo. Its aim is to bring the community together in support of a meaningful cause, which aligns perfectly with our mission to support mental health education and provide a voice for individuals with mental health challenges. We warmly encourage the general public to support this event”.
Alison Sciberras, Communications Manager at Richmond Foundation, thanked Ozzy Lino on behalf of the Foundation for this brilliant initiative and for including Richmond Foundation as a collaborator, a gesture that is greatly appreciated. She highlighted that the 48-hour Singathon not only celebrates and promotes local music and talent, but also plays an important role in raising awareness about mental health — one of the key pillars of Richmond Foundation’s work.
Alison Sciberras added that initiatives such as this help strengthen community understanding and dialogue around mental health, while supporting the Foundation’s mission to assist individuals living with mental health challenges within the community. Richmond Foundation appeals to the general public to be part of this event, supporting Ozzy Lino while also supporting an event which aims to further strengthen mental health conversations, because mental health matters.
A call is currently open for volunteers to assist throughout the Singathon. Those interested in joining the support team may apply via https://www.ozzylino.com/join-the-team

This is not just a concert. It’s a challenge, a celebration, and a movement — backed by passion, powered by music, and open to all.
