HSBC Foundation gives the gift of music to school children
The Robert Sammut Hall reverberated with the tunes of scores from ‘Hansel and Gretel’ and ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’ as nearly 200 students were treated by five distinguished musicians from the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, known as the Cosmos Wind Ensemble. Sponsored by HSBC Malta Foundation, the concert welcomed 6-8 year old students from Valletta Primary (group of 44), Pieta’ Primary (46), Cospicua Primary (44), and Vittoriosa Primary (37). On the way out, the young students received colouring sheets of characters from ‘Hansel and Gretel’ and ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’ as memorabilia.
