The classic sack race proved to be a popular choice amongst the younger participants, while adults tried their hand at the archery stand. The more adventurous attempted to scale the climbing wall emboldened by the encouragement of those watching. Other activities included penalty shoot-outs, mini golf, bungee run and gladiator combats. Yoga, keep-fit and Kung Fu sessions were also organised throughout the day.

No sporting event is complete without an awards ceremony, and true to form the HSBC Sports and Social Activities Committee Ray Cassar and Natalie Meilak, together with HSBC Malta CEO, Andrew Beane, and HSBC Malta Head of Commercial Banking, Michel Cordina, presented a medal to every winner of each category.
During the presentation, Mr Beane said: “It was an excellent experience and great fun to watch participants compete in a friendly setting far removed from the office environment. The Sports and Social Activities Committee did an excellent job in the organisation.”
Mr Cordina said: “Besides helping promote the benefits of physical activity and wellbeing, sports activities such as these help break down barriers between departments and foster a sense of connectivity between employees.”
