Super Sponge trio to launch debut album
Super Sponge Trio is an instrumental power trio from Malta, evincing a magnetic assemblage of uncanny melodies coupled with improvisations, bouncy rhythms and infectious grooves all amalgamated into one unique act. The trio was formed back in the summer of 2016 and features Kurt Micallef on electric guitar, Francesco ‘Cikku’ Frendo on electric bass and Luke Briffa on drums.
Crossover Funk group Super Sponge trio will be launching their much-awaited debut album titled ‘Quack’, on the 24th of November at The Funky Monkey in Gzira. The band will be supported by DJ Chris Goa.
