Fly Emirates to the Indian Ocean for the perfect winter sun escape

Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, announced it is boosting its connectivity to the Indian Ocean by introducing a third daily flight to popular island destination, Mauritius. The additional evening frequency started on 1 October 2022 and will boost seat capacity to and from Mauritius by approximately 35%.
The new flight supplements the existing double-daily Airbus A380 services and will also offer customers travelling to Mauritius more flexibility. When planning their trip, passengers will have the choice of an early morning arrival at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, in addition to the existing EK 0701 service which arrives mid-morning, and EK 0703 that arrives early evening.
Whether seeking a romantic getaway, a memorable family trip or simply soaking up the sun, there is something for every traveller when visiting Indian Ocean island destinations.
Emirates has restarted operations to more than 130 destinations, across six continents and currently operates the Malta-Larnaca-Dubai route five times a week. The airliner also operates nine daily flights to the Seychelles, Mauritius and Maldives from Dubai International Airport.

Visitors to Mauritius can enjoy consistent temperatures all year round alongside an array of diving and snorkelling spots. The recently renovated JW Marriott Mauritius Resort provides idyllic views over the lagoon with a backdrop of Le Morne Brabant Mountain, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are also many beaches to visit, including the bustling Grand Baie in the north, to the tree-lined strip of St Félix in the south.

Meanwhile for those who want to take in the views from above, can see the breathtaking Underwater Waterfall by helicopter. The unique experience gives people the chance to view the ocean with a spectrum of different colours, providing a sense of a three-dimensional underwater waterfall.

Nestled in the Indian Ocean, a holiday to Seychelles offers picturesque beaches, bustling markets and luscious green mountains ensuring you have the perfect winter escape. The Seychelles is also home to several species of animals, birds and plants that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Visitors to Curieuse Marine National Park can experience this for themselves and more including the renowned giant tortoises to Coco De Mer, the world’s largest nut.
With 1,200 islands over a length of 541 miles, the Maldives is the perfect place to unwind. Holidaymakers can enjoy sunbathing on white beaches and snorkeling in the turquoise sea – made even more exciting with a stay in one of the famous over-water bungalows. Those more adventurous can take a trip to the many diving spots, such as the famous Maaya Thila which offers you the chance to see resident marine species such as turtles, rays, Napoleon wrasse and several varieties of sharks.
Emirates’ extensive network spans to 130 destinations, across six continents. The airline continues to place top priority on safe travel in the air and on-ground and customers travelling from Dubai can also take advantage of state-of-the-art contactless technology to ease their journey through the airport.
Emirates also offers its customers an unmatched culinary experience in the skies with regionally inspired multi-course menus developed by a team of award-winning chefs complemented by a wide selection of premium beverages.
