For the third consecutive year, the Company has been awarded the prestigious HR certification awarded by the Top Employers Institute.

Lidl Malta, the leading discount supermarket chain on the Maltese islands, has been awarded by the Top Employers Institute for the third consecutive year . The certification follows a rigorous validation process and is awarded by a global certification company recognising HR excellence. In addition to being the only Maltese company certified Top Employer 2021, the Company has also been included in the Top Employers Europe. 

“There is no denying that 2020 has been a very tough year for both employees and employers. This is why this year we are particularly proud to have, once again, managed to obtain the Top Employers Award. The certification was carried out by means of a detailed analysis which includes over 400 questions in 6 HR areas. All of the information submitted has been carefully reviewed by the Top Employers Institute which prudently scrutinises the different steps of the company’s implementation systems. The study revealed the worthy personnel management policies implemented by the Company. A positive result that allowed Lidl Malta, to once again, be awarded the authoritative and prestigious recognition both at a Maltese and European level.
