Former Italy and Juventus goalkeeper welcomed at The Victoria Hotel, Sliema

The Victoria Hotel, Sliema welcomed former Italy and Juventus goalkeeper, Stefano Tacconi during an official visit which took place last week. The 59 year Perugia born footballer, was in Malta between Friday 10th and Sunday 12th March and during his stay at one of Malta’s leading 4-star hotels, Tacconi had the opportunity to see the latest renovations at the hotel, with an investment of €2.5 million by AX Hotels.

Tacconi had positive comments about the work performed at The Victoria Hotel. In Malta, he was attending an event for local Juventus supporters organised by Juventus Club DOC Malta Cuore Bianconero. Tacconi is known to be the only goalkeeper to have won all international club competitions while playing for Italian club, Juventus. At international level, he earned the nickname of ‘the best back-up keeper in the world’ as he was used as a back-up goalkeeper to former Inter legend, Walter Zenga. Many football experts consider Tacconi as one of the best goalkeepers of his generation and as one of Italy’s best goalkeeper in history.
