ADHD Adult Coaching Approach course

Applications are being accepted for the ADHD Adult Coaching Approach course, which abroad is increasingly followed by social workers, youth workers, educators, counsellors, sports and job coaches and Human Resource staff with highly positive long- term results.

Maltese adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) experience lack of awareness and stigmatisation in their everyday environment, similar to other European countries. ADHD Malta works towards inclusion and considers these training courses to be beneficial for local professionals and the local ADHD community.

The course enables participants to apply this coaching style in their current employment. By the end of the course, they will have a solid foundation of knowledge about ADHD adult coaching, gaining skills to become more effective and supportive in their work with clients, students or patients, and learn how to work together more productively. They will be able to communicate better, identify unique challenges and strengths, explore options, and put strategies or models to use.

This nationally accredited course consists of 10 three-hour sessions on weekdays from 3-14 November 2025 (these dates are tentative until at least eight participants have been confirmed in each group) at STC Higher Education institute, Pembroke.

The interactive workshops are being held from 9.15 am-12.15 pm or from 2.30-5.30 pm. The course trainer is Marie Enbäck, with Carola Stivala delivering an introductory lecture on the local historical situation of ADHD, activities of the support group ADHD Malta and the current situation in Europe for people living with ADHD.

The course is being held in English, the duration is three months and after the initial 30 contact hours of lectures and workshops, the remaining course time is completed with self-study of the course material, two compulsory literature books, three written assignments and 12 hours of peer coaching practice sessions.

Participants will obtain an ‘Award in The ADHD Adult Coaching Approach’ (5 ECTS/MQF Level 5) certificate on successful completion of the course attendance (85%) and assignments.

Course trainer Ms Enbäck is a Master Certified ADHD Coach (MCAC), who graduated from the ADD Coaching Academy (USA). She has been running her own practice since 2008. Alongside coaching, she has organised conferences on ADHD for professionals with international expert speakers. She runs a non-profit network for people with ADHD and professionals, and has engagements in and out of Sweden as an independent consultant.

Over the past five years she has been managing a project for adult ADHD-ers in Norway. In that project
Ms Enbäck wrote the study material for ‘ADHD Adult Group Coaching’, and also led the groups herself. The documentation and the conclusions from these groups certainly indicate that ADHD coaching can lead to progress and a more fulfilling life for adults with ADHD.

The course fees, that need to be paid in full on registration (https://forms.gle/nzjfq2A2xsKKNXzv9 − closing date is 6 October), cover the course file and materials, a journal/notebook, Course Award Certificate and complimentary ‘professional’ membership of ADHD Malta. A group social activity will be held on the last day of lectures.

The course is registered for the Get Qualified Scheme. Once the participant has successfully completed the course, all required documents will be provided by ADHD Malta and STC.
