The winner of the Gold Award (for outstanding achievement during his journalistic career) was PBS veteran John Inguanez.  The jury for this award was President Emeritus Dr Edward Fenech Adami, Anna Bonanno and Lawrence Grech. The award was presented by President Emeritus Dr Ugo Mifsud Bonnici, Chairman of the Tumas Fenech Foundation for Journalism Education.
