HSBC Malta celebrates upgrade of its Rabat Branch

HSBC Bank Malta recently celebrated the upgrade of its Rabat Branch, following the completion of renovation works aimed at enhancing customer experience and improving branch facilities.

Customers can now benefit from the in-branch experience upgrade, and a reception was held on 19 May to celebrate with customers, local council representatives, colleagues, and members of the Rabat Branch team.

Located at Is-Saqqajja, Rabat, the branch sits within one of Malta’s most historic localities and has long served as an important point of contact for customers in the surrounding communities. The latest upgrade continues a history of maintaining a local banking presence in the area, reflecting the local team’s longstanding commitment to serving customers across Malta.

The upgraded premises now offer a more modern and welcoming environment, with improved customer areas, greater privacy for consultations, and enhanced self-service facilities, including two ATMs and a deposit machine. The site is fully wheelchair accessible and designed to support ease of access and convenience for all customers.

A full range of services continues to be available, including everyday banking, lending solutions, insurance, wealth and financial planning, as well as support with digital banking services.

Geoffrey Fichte, CEO at HSBC Malta, said, “This investment reflects our team’s continued commitment to supporting customers and communities across Malta. Our branches remain an important part of how we serve customers, providing access to in-person support and expert advice on loans, savings and investments. We’re excited about the future potential and continue to invest. HSBC and CrediaBank are committed to ensuring a smooth transition for our customers and colleagues, subject to regulatory approval.”

Muriel Rutland, Head of International Wealth and Personal Banking at HSBC Malta, added, “The upgrade has been designed with customers’ evolving needs in mind, combining modern facilities, a more practical and comfortable environment, and greater privacy with the personalised service and advice customers continue to value from our branch network. We remain focused on supporting customers through our branches as well as our phone and digital banking services.”

HSBC Malta thanked its Rabat branch customers for their patience during the upgrade works, noting that the branch remained open throughout the works in line with its commitment to continuity of service for customers, and reaffirmed its commitment to investing in customer service and banking accessibility across its network.
