LEONARDO THE SPACE PIANIST RELEASES ‘I JUST HAD SAX’
Pianist and aerospace engineer Leonardo Barilaro releases his single ‘I Just Had Sax’ as pacific protest for the current situation of artists in the ‘productive industrialized’ society during this pandemic situation, playing with the words of the title.
‘I Just Had Sax’ is a space music cinematic composition for piano, synth, sax and electronic with an experimental jazz and synthwave downtempo nuance that incorporates in the core the samples recorded by Moon Hooch, American band known for their dance-oriented percussion- and saxophone-based music. This experimental piece is also inspired by the production of Canadian musician Andrew Huang.

Since the start of the Covid19 pandemic Leonardo Barilaro, based in Malta, produced and released 4 EPs and 8 singles, developing his contemporary space music genre. In January Leonardo released a tribute to Anathema, in collaboration with metal queen Mariangela Demurtas (lead singer of Tristania).
The experimental single “I Just Had Sax” and its space-futuristic sound are out now on Spotify and all main music digital platforms.
