Nadine Milano fashion outlet celebrates two years at Bay Street
Nadine Milano celebrated its second anniversary last month with a fashion show of the Spring/Summer Collection and the Ceremony Collection at The Italian Job Lounge in Bay Street, St George’s Bay, St Julian’s.
Alberto Halfon, Franchise Director of Nadine, who was in Malta to celebrate the occasion with the directors of D Vogue Ltd, operators of the Nadine outlet in Malta, welcomed the guests.
The fashion show started with two delightful Pommeranian dogs and the 20 models from different nationalities then ensured that the two collections could be well appreciated by the audience.
There was a special performance during the event by Malta’s Eurovision Song Contest representative Amber and DJ Panelli continued providing the entertainment after the show.
There are currently 20 Nadine fashion stores throughout Italy – seven alone in Milan, including a three-storey 500 m2 flagship store in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the city’s main street, and another in the Quadrilatero della Moda, the main commercial street. In the past two years outlets have also opened in Kuwait and South Africa.
Nadine’s brand values include simplicity, chic, contemporary design and tailored items that are 100% made in Italy, apart from casualwear, all at reasonable prices.
According to Mr Halfon, Nadine pays great attention to the latest fashion trends and, through its various collections, ensures it provides everything a woman needs, be it everyday work wear and items that stand out for special occasions.
New stock is constantly being sent out to the various outlets with a lead time of just two weeks from design to production – new stock that leaves Milan on a Friday is in store in Malta by Tuesday.
“Women like to wear casual but smart outfits. They like to look elegant and always wear the latest, up-to-date colours. This season we will be seeing a lot of green, yellow, blue and red, along with pastel colours” Mr Halfon said.
Nadine’s target market is women aged 18 and over, who will find something to wear for that special occasion, like a First Holy Communion Party, wedding or a cocktail party. There is a wide range of modern and elegant styles, sizes varying from size 38 to 46, including dresses, jackets, shirts, suits, tunics, pants, shoes, bags, accessories and costume jewellery – all at affordable prices. New stock is received on a weekly basis.
The company, a family business set up in 1989 with a 50 m2 outlet in Milan, is well known for providing clothing and accessories for the presenters of top TV shows in Italy, including Federica Panicucci on Mediaset’s Mattina in famiglia and Il Sabato, Emanuela Folliero on Bellissimi and Barbara d’Urso on Striscia La Notizia, among other testimonials.
The Nadine production team is led by Alberto’s brother Clemente, with feedback received from the stores ensuring the best-selling items always remain in production and new items produced to entice their regular clients. Apart from selling its garments in its own stores, Nadine is also present in multi-brand stores, although Alberto believes that the future is in monobrand Nadine stores.
Shop windows at Nadine stores are changed weekly or whenever there is a new collection arriving. There is an emphasis on personalised service, with an advisor giving clients individual attention.
According to Doriette Camilleri, Director of D Vogue Ltd, Nadine has been well received locally. “Our clients can visit us and leave with a complete outfit, including shoes, bags and accessories. The Italian design is outstanding and the quality is also excellent. This has been a highly successful first two years here in Bay Street,” she said.
