The Blacklist launches on GO Stars

American crime drama The Blacklist is now also being broadcast on GO Stars. The show, which has been a huge hit in the United States features James Spader as former government agent Raymond “Red” Reddington who has eluded capture for decades but suddenly surrenders to the FBI with an offer to help catch a terrorist on the condition that he speaks only with Elizabeth Keen, a rookie FBI profiler, played by Megan Boone.

The Blacklist is being broadcast every Sunday evening on GO Stars at 9.00pm. The show’s critically acclaimed first series resulted in a 2014 Golden Globe Award nomination for lead actor James Spader.

Commenting on his role as Red, James Spader, who previously starred in Boston Legal, said, “When I read The Blacklist I saw that it really was character driven.  There’s certainly great action and thrilling plotlines.  It has twists and turns, and a lot of international appeal in terms of its characters.  But it is ultimately a character-driven show.  It’s about relationships.”

Michele Dandria, Manager – Content and Digital Media at GO, said, “The Blacklist makes a great addition to the GO Stars Sunday evening line up which from April, also features Mad Men. Packed with surprising twists, The Blacklist is certainly set to be a big hit with subscribers.”
