The tour will leave Malta on Wednesday 3 April and return on Sunday 7 April 2013. The jeep excursion will take visitors through the winding roads of the TroodosMountains surrounded by picturesque villages, such as Platres, Arsos, and Omodos, home to traditional lace-making, jewellery and a quaint monastery. At Omodos participants visit a winery and then drive to the significant archaeological site and majestic amphitheatre of Currium before proceeding to Akrotiri and Episkopi before the day’s trip ends in Limassol. Another excursion will take visitors to the western part of the island – Paphos, the birthplace of Aphrodite and surrounded by ancient ruins, and driving to the Akamas region and see Avakas Gorge which is a favourite area for hikers.

Blessed with a mild climate, Cyprus is an open-air museum and along the tour one will spot various Greek temples, Roman villas, early Christian basilicas, Byzantine churches and castles amongst many others treasures from the past.
