Emirates, the award-winning international airline, is offering special fares from Malta to Melbourne in November 2012 and from February to May 2013.

The special Economy fare to Melbourne starts from €999 and is inclusive of taxes. The tickets must be booked and purchased during October 2012 and the offer is valid for outbound travel in November 2012 or between February and May 2013.  The tickets can have up to four months validity on the return date with terms and conditions applying.

With three daily flights, using the latest aircrafts including an A380 aircraft from Dubai to Melbourne, Emirates offers Maltese travellers the most convenient and comfortable way of experiencing the capital of Victoria. Business and leisure travellers can experience Emirates’ luxurious inflight service on the new A380 Melbourne flight with private suites, on-board showers in First Class, and lie-flat seats, all with aisle access in Business Class and generous seating on the main deck in Economy Class.

Passengers in all classes can enjoy Emirates’ award-winning ice Digital Widescreen, the industry’s most sophisticated video and audio system, offering 1,400 channels of on-demand entertainment – the largest selection of programming in the sky.

Melbourne is the sports capital of Australia, and many Maltese horse racing fans head on Melbourne flights for one of the richest horse races in the world, the Melbourne Cup. Emirates is both the Principal Partner of the Emirates Melbourne Cup and title sponsor. Organised by the Victoria Racing Club, this year the Melbourne Cup will be held on 6th November in Flemington.

Melbourne is one of the most vibrant and multicultural cities and very often referred to as the most liveable city in the world.  One of its attractive spots is Federation Square, a mixed-use space with a huge public screen, indoor and outdoor stages, museums and cafes making it a popular meeting place for locals and tourists.

Cuisine from all around the world is represented in an impressive variety of restaurants. The promenade in Southbank is just one of the many popular areas offering a collection of great dining options. Melbourne is an excellent city to wander around and beyond; the Yarra river north from Melbourne brings one of Australia’s main wine-growing regions – the Yarra Valley, famous for its chardonnay and pinot noir grapes.

Whether visiting family and friends or exploring the cities shops, restaurants and night life, those who experience Melbourne tend to agree that it is among the most liveable and likable cities.

Emirates flies to four cities across Australia – Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth – and from the 1st of November 2012 will add the fifth gateway to Adelaide.  Emirates has excellent service, daily flights and convenient times from Malta via Dubai to Australia.

From Malta Emirates flies to Dubai on a daily schedule via Larnaka, Cyprus. Further enquiries or bookings for this special airfare can be made at Emirates Sales Office, Malta International Airport, tel. no. 2557 7255 or one may contact the local travel agent or else log on to
