A video doing the rounds shows NET news journalists at the Workers Day activity trying to ask Labour supporters what they think of Jason Micallef contesting the elections and other questions about their party. The reactions of some of them demonstrated that there is still a lot of defensive touchiness when it comes to answering questions from the opposite camp.
Parts of the video show a couple of supporters literally losing it in front of the cameras and having to be restrained….it is not clear why they reacted like this as the video has been obviously edited. Whatever the question which was asked, however,it is apparent that there is still a section of Labour supporters which is easily baited. They like to describe it as being “provoked” but this is a lame excuse….surely they should be able to control themselves no matter how short -tempered they are, especially when they know they are being filmed?
NET reporters unsurprisingly used this occasion to zero in on easy targets to score some political point which they will bang on about relentlessly throughout the election campaign which has apparently already started while we were not looking.
It is all so very boring and predictable…and in the great scheme of things, none of these shenanigans will really improve the quality of
life in Malta.
