In its role as sponsor of the Malta Journalism Awards, HSBC Malta recognises the dedication of The Malta Institute of Journalists (IĠM) towards the promotion of the journalistic profession as a key driver for Malta’s growth, both locally and internationally.
This was stated by HSBC Malta Head of Communications Mr Franco Aloisio when presenting the Bank’s sponsorship of the Print Journalism – News category of the Malta Journalism Awards.
The Chairman of The Institute of Maltese Journalists, Malcolm J. Naudi, said: “HSBC Malta’s affiliation with the Malta Journalism Awards has been truly invaluable. Their constant support over many years has helped the Institute’s efforts to raise further the level of journalism through these Awards.”
The Malta Journalism Awards co-ordinator, Mr Roderick Agius, said: “The finalists for this year’s edition will be announced on 30 May 2013. The submissions are being evaluated by an independent panel of judges. This panel is totally autonomous to the point that not even the Institute’s Council would know the final results before they are communicated publicly.”
The winners will be presented with the awards at the presentation ceremony next month.
