Czech music in aid of research

The Honorary Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Malta in association with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Rome is organizing a Czech Cultural Week held in Malta between 17th and 21st October 2016.

The Honorary Consulate General will be bringing over to Malta The Bohemia Saxophone Quartette (www.bsq.cz), a unique and outstanding ensemble. A special concert to be held on Friday 21st October at 8.00 pm at the Chamber of Commerce is open to the general public and will be held in aid of the Brain Research programme of the University of Malta. The concert is free of charge and reservations can be made by sending an e-mail on info@ridt.org.mt. A donation in aid of the programme will be appreciated.

The Honorary Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Malta is pleased to support Research Trust (RIDT) of the University of Malta in its drive to bolster the research activity of the University through public support.

On the occasion celebrating the Czech culture week, an exhibition on Emperor Charles IV celebrating the 700th anniversary of the birth of Emperor Charles IV which will also be held at the Chamber of Commerce in Republic Street, Valletta.

The culmination of the week will be the visit of the Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs H. E. Lubomír Zaoralek accompanied by a high level delegation. During his stay Mr. Lubomír Zaorálek will meet with Malta Government Officials and attend the Reception on the occasion of the National Day of the Czech Republic.

The Czech Week in Malta is being supported by Tescoma– P & V Muscat Ltd, KPMG – Malta, Persepolis Co.Ltd., The Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry and The University of Malta.
