Bank of Valletta and the Malta Football Association (Malta FA) brought together representatives of Malta FA member clubs for a one-day seminar aimed at helping football clubs better understand of the evolving AML obligations, governance expectations, and wider legal and regulatory responsibilities impacting football clubs. The seminar provided participants with insights into both current and emerging compliance requirements, highlighting the importance of strong governance and financial crime prevention within the football sector. The initiative forms part of a broader effort to support clubs in strengthening their control frameworks and ensuring they are well prepared to meet future regulatory and AML compliance expectations.
