Honda’s Marc Marquez crowned 2016 World Champion

Spanish 23-year-old motorcycle road racer, Marc Marquez won his third MotoGP title after winning the Japanese Grand Prix. Indisputably it was a faultless day for the Repsol Honda Team rider as Movistar Yamaha teammates Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo crashed out of contention and making it easier for Marquez to seal his deserved victory. Japan’s victory gave Marquez an unassailable 77-point lead over Italian Rossi.
This was the third MotoGP title in four years for the Spaniard in the premier class, and his fifth World Championship after becoming 125 World Champion in 2010 and Moto World Champion in 2012. Marquez’s victory in Japan made him the youngest to seal three championships.
