Yet another prestigious award for AX Hotels

The restaurant manager of The Copperfield’s Restaurant at The Victoria Hotel, Charles Abela has won the Malta Tourism Authority Star Service Award. Abela was one of eight stars who clinched an award for excellence during the 11th edition of the MTA Awards held last month at the Mediterranean Conference Centre. The Victoria Hotel is another Hotel forming part of the AX Hotels group.
There were approximately 7,000 nominations received from tourists during 2015 and Mr Abela was the winner of the F&B category, receiving over 40 nominations by guests. Quentin Attard and Emmanuel Mercieca, both from The Palace, Sliema together with Noel Micallef from Seashells Resort at Suncrest, were also nominated for the MTA Star Awards.
Commenting following this achievement, Mr Abela said that this award would definitely serve to encourage and motivate himself and his colleagues to improve service standards at The Copperfield’s Restaurant.
The Star Service Awards are an important initiative where the MTA is able to give public appreciation to all those who work directly or indirectly in the tourism industry. The main aim of these awards is to incentive the best people in the tourism sector and rewards their excellent contribution and supports towards making the Maltese experience an unforgettable one for local visitors.
