Lidl Malta boosts its investment with its 10th store on the Maltese islands and creates 17 new jobs
Lidl Malta has continued to express its great confidence in the country’s retail sector, with the opening of its 10th store, on the northwest coast of Malta, in Burmarrad. The new store, that replaces former Scotts Supermarket located in Burmarrad Road, is a zero land take operation and has an approximate sales area of 860 square meters.
Lidl’s tenth store in Burmarrad, will offer a wide range of over 3.500 products, including fresh fruits and vegetables and an in-store bakery with bread and pastries daily.
Besides, Lidl has constantly increased its Maltese product base, working hand in hand with local suppliers, thus offering a wide selection of product categories that allow customers to be able to make all the necessary purchases in a single store and at an excellent quality-price ratio.
“We have been investing in Malta for more than 14 years now and we are thrilled to announce another significant breakthrough locally, with the opening of our 10th store in a completely new located area of Malta. I trust that Lidl’s new store in Burmarrad will continue to enrich our customers’ experience. Thanks to this new announced investment, we will be improving the country’s economic drive, with the creation of 17 new jobs,” said Gianluca Celentano, Country Director Lidl Malta.
