Ira Losco has just released a new single and video. The song which is called “Cannonball” features no other than X Factor Malta’s First Edition winner Michela.

Michela Pace had moved X factor Judge Ira Losco to tears in season 1 when she first appeared in the audition room, so it only seemed natural for Ira to ask her to join on a newly produced version of the song “Cannonball” which is on her double album “No Sinner No Saint.” The song was written by Ira Losco and fellow X Factor Judge and producer Howard Keith who was also Michela’s mentor last year.

Following her win Michela has been busy song writing with some of the biggest names in the music industry on her upcoming releases which will be a follow up after her streaming hit “Chameleon.”

But before that she is joining Ira on their first collaboration. The music video was shoot overseas as well as in Malta and features the two singers finding refuge in each other following some setbacks in their personal lives. One can immediately notice the contrasting colour palette between Ira Losco’s dark tones vs Michela’s golden tones.

The duo has already performed the single live at one of Ira Losco’s 2 hour shows which is incidently included in the music video where both get to play their actual roles as performing artists. ”Cannonball” was already a favourite amongst Ira’s fans but they were ecstatic to hear that the young Gozitan songstress would be featuring on this track.

“Whilst this is the 8^th single from  ‘No sinner No Saint’ ,making it an absolute record in terms of  the number of singles released from an album, there are actually more singles planned to be released in the coming months. “said her manager Howard Keith.  Ira Losco has another exciting year ahead of her where she will once again join the X Factor Cast as a judge for the second Malta Edition which kicks start on the 6^th of October. She also has 2 very exciting new projects in the pipeline which are set for release in 2020 & 2021. Ira Losco is also one of the artists in the Mediterranean Stars Festival hosted by Radio Italia at the Granaries happening very soon on the 4^th of October. She has invited Michela to join her on stage that night for a Live rendition of “Cannonball” where the track will be officially launched.
