Epic’s 8th local store is the first one located in the North of Malta

Epic has just launched a new Epic branded store in Bugibba. This is the 26th Epic store in Europe, the 8th local store for the longest standing telecommunications company in Malta, and the first one located in the northern area of the island.
“Epic strives to provide its customers with a great network combined with great value. We would like to bring our services as close to as many customers as possible in Malta and our new store in Bugibba serves this purpose. The investment in this new store complements our massive investment programme in broadband services and our nationwide mobile network modernization programme that will bring improved coverage, speed, and 5G services to over 250,000 subscribers,” said Epic’s CEO Tamás Bányai during a visit to the store last Friday.
Accompanying Mr Bányai, the Chief Commercial Officer of Epic, Marcel Grech Mallia expressed that, “This new store, is the second one locally to have a dedicated area servicing business customers as available in the Epic flagship store in Birkirkara.” He went on to explain how this new store, is the first one that uses the international Epic design, one which is also present in Cyprus. Additionally, the local teams worked with the Epic global brand team to streamline the customer experience within the store. It has increased the use of digital tools to reduce greatly the use of paper and deliver best in class customer experience combined with environmentally friendly operations.
In light of this recent opening, those residing in the Bugibba area had the opportunity to benefit from Epic’s special offers for the occasion.
Over the past year, Epic has been on an exciting journey designing and creating a superior network experience. Epic believes that strong connectivity which is accessible to everyone is fundamental for the country’s competitiveness and growth. In fact, Epic Fibre was launched locally in April, offering outstanding internet download speeds of up to 2000 Mbps, both for homes and businesses. In the meantime, Epic is also working on its mobile network modernisation programme, through which the operator recently announced that Ericsson has been selected as its exclusive 5G radio access network (RAN) provider. As part of the new partnership, Epic will use Ericsson’s technology leadership to fully modernise its existing mobile network.
