Arkadia opens FoodExpress in Paceville
Arkadia takes its experience in running quality foodstores to a new level with the opening of its first Arkadia FoodExpress store at the former Axis Club in Paceville.
Spread over 450 square metres on one floor, the store format represents a new effort by Arkadia to capture a different and growing element of the grocery and food retail market. The concept of Supermarket, Meals and More is particularly attractive to office staff with busy schedules and foreign students, providing them with delicious, wholesome food, and ready-to-eat snacks.
The store has a hybrid format — with a supermarket store, grocery, a wide selection of wines and spirits, a newsstand, and eventually a ready-cooked food section. The store has a self-service checkout bakery counter to increase customer convenience and faster cash out.
The supermarket section offers a wide range of pre-packed deli and cold cuts, fresh meat cuts as well as the popular, own brand, Ready-to-Go snacks which are freshly prepared on a daily basis by Arkadia staff. The section also offers a wide range of frozen foods.
The grocery section contains hundreds of packaged foods and other items, from confectionery and breakfast cereals, to pet food, toiletries and cleaning products.
A key feature that distinguishes Arkadia foodstores from other stores is the exclusive availability of Waitrose products, the British brand for quality food. Arkadia endorses the Waitrose philosophy that there are only a few things in life more important than the food we buy for ourselves and our families. As such, for the past year, Arkadia has offered its clients the superior quality of Waitrose products with prices that match those of other top brands, if not better.
“With this new format, Arkadia seeks to continue innovating its offer, with the objective of providing customers with more convenience and a better shopping experience,” said General Manager Antoine Portelli. “In the next three months, Arkadia will be opening a second convenience store in Swatar to make its quality service available to a wider audience.”
The new concept foodstore in Paceville is open from Monday to Sunday from 10am to 10pm.
