SOFTSWISS, a global provider of iGaming software solutions, celebrates a double victory at the prestigious Malta’s Gaming Excellence Awards (MiGEA) 2025. Two of the company’s key figures were recognised for their impact on the iGaming industry – Ivan Montik, Founder of SOFTSWISS, and Rubens Barrichello, SOFTSWISS Non-Executive Director in Latin America, and legendary Formula 1 driver.

Ivan Montik received the Lifetime Achievement Award, a distinction that honours individuals for their far-reaching contributions to the sector. Meanwhile, Rubens Barrichello was named Best iGaming Influencer of the Year for amplifying the company’s presence through marketing and social initiatives around the globe.

Ivan founded SOFTSWISS in 2009, making it one of the first companies to introduce cryptocurrency into the iGaming space. Since then, it has grown into a full-service provider with over 2,000 employees and operations in more than 20 countries. 

Over the past year, Ivan has driven key initiatives that strengthened the company’s global presence and future vision. Under his leadership, SOFTSWISS expanded its presence in Latin America and South Africa, prolonged collaboration with F1 legend Rubens Barrichello and turned the SOFTSWISS Game Aggregator into one of the largest content hubs in the market, offering over 30,000 games. Ivan’s commitment to the industry was demonstrated through the launch of the iGaming Trends 2025 Report, a 100+ page forecast built on 53,000+ media sources and expert insights. 

Beyond business, Ivan supported corporate social responsibility activities. He spearheaded aid efforts for communities affected by Rio Grande do Sul floods in Brazil and Storm Boris in Poland, including charitable donations, educational initiatives, and employee-led campaigns for global solidarity.

The title of Best iGaming Influencer of the Year was awarded to Rubens Barrichello, a Formula 1 driver who joined SOFTSWISS in 2024 to help lead the company’s expansion across Latin America. His presence has added both local credibility and international visibility to SOFTSWISS’ efforts.

Over the past year, Rubens has actively represented SOFTSWISS at major industry events, taking the stage at public speaking engagements and hosting VIP racing experiences for clients. He has also fronted impactful initiatives like the Help Brazil campaign, launched to support communities affected by devastating floods in Rio Grande do Sul. He also recently debuted in SOFTSWISS Excellence Talks, a YouTube podcast featuring global leaders and visionaries across sports, tech, and business.
