THE EUROPEAN DAY OF LANGUAGES IN MALTA – FEAST OF LANGUAGES IN ST ANNE SQUARE

On Saturday, 22nd September, the European Commission Representation in Malta will be celebrating the European Day of Languages in St Anne Square, Sliema, between 19:00 and 21:00. For the sixth consecutive year, the Għaqda tal-Malti – Università will be helping in the organization of this event, the purpose of which is to promote languages while giving other language NGOs a space in which they can promote their material with a varied audience.

Besides the various activities organised by different representatives, schools and organisations, including the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Malta, the Malta-Japan Association, the Malta Classics Association, DESA and the National Book Council (Malta), those present will have the opportunity to enjoy the several activities going on, including the reading of translated literature, multilingual karaoke, as well as a quiz on European languages and customs. The event will be presented by Malta’s favourite comedians, Danusan. The public is encouraged to attend and also to leave a short message in any desired language during this wonderful feast of languages!

With sincere thanks to the Sliema Local Council, Spazju Kreattiv, Merlin Publishers and Klabb Kotba Maltin.
