Project investigating link between community resilience and environmental sustainability to conclude with stakeholder roundtable

A project which has been looking into how creating greater community cohesion and resilience can positively impact the environment in which that community lives will host its final event this coming Wednesday, 11 January 2023, with an Outcome Action Roundtable.

The VOPS Together We Strive project, led by NWAMI International Malta, has over the past months organised a series of events bringing together different communities resident in Malta to explore how a greater sense of belonging and inclusion can result in a better, more sustainable environment. Based on the data gathered, this coming Wednesday’s roundtable will discuss what practical policy initiatives that could be developed.

The Outcome Action Roundtable, for this project which is also in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Malta’s contribution to COP26, will be held at the Ronald McDonald House Charities Malta Learning Centre in Qawra and will consist of two parts. Firstly, there will be a presentation of the outcome of the project’s research component by Misco Malta and the overall project outcome. This will be followed by a working session to produce suggestions for a systemic sustainability policy.
