HSBC sponsors premier category of the Malta Journalism Awards

HSBC Malta is sponsoring the print journalism category of the prestigious Malta Journalism Awards (MJA), organised by IĠM. The print journalism award is seen as the premier category of the Malta Journalism Awards, which are marking their silver jubilee this year.

“At the confluence of social media and traditional media, the compelling work of print journalists continues to be of profound social value for its ability to shape opinion with original content and depth. The range and variety of stories representing the three finalists is a recognition not only for them but also for IĠM as a guardian of the ideals of journalism,” said HSBC Malta Head of Communications Franco Aloisio.
“The Institute considers HSBC as one of its key partners in its work and the organisation of the Awards – and it is exactly for this reason that we would like to officially and publicly thank the Bank for its trust,” said IĠM Chairman Karl Wright.
The finalists of the print journalism category, according to IĠM, are Joe Mikallef, Matthew Vella, and Victor Vella. The MJA winners will be announced on 10 July during a ceremony.
