Dialling in to Santa
Customers at The Duke Shopping Mall in Republic Street, Victoria, Gozo, have an added reason to bring their children along this year: a specially prepared Santa’s Magical Booth with a direct line to Lapland and none other than Santa Claus himself!
This is one of the initiatives of the owners and management of The Duke to raise funds for Puttinu Cares over the Festive Season.
Santa’s Magical Booth will be open for a limited time only on 13th and 14th December and on the five days before Christmas (20th-24th December). On 13th December it will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on the remaining days from 5-7 p.m.
It can be found in the common area on the ground floor of the shopping mall and has been suitably decorated complete with artificial snow. There are lots of special effects, including fancy lights, and gifts for the children will appear magically inside during their conversation with Santa.
Children can bring their Christmas list and tell Santa directly what they wish him to bring them this year.
“This is an initiative for children and the proceeds are going to a children’s charity,” Maria Farrugia, Administrator of The Duke Shopping Mall, said. “This is surely an attraction not to be missed but make sure to be here early to avoid disappointment. All children making the donation will receive a gift.”
Santa’s Magical Booth is one of the many attractions at The Duke this Christmas Season. Check out the on-line Advent Calendar at The Duke Shopping mall Facebook page; the Loyalty scheme rewarding early Christmas shoppers; and live animation on the weekends and during key public holidays in the run-up to Christmas.
