Casa Antonia dives into a full summer programme
Balmy summer evenings in Malta are the perfect backdrop for many outdoor activities. The beautiful landscaped gardens with swimming pool and a pond with swans at Casa Antonia Nursing and Residential Home provide the picture perfect for many events organised for its residents.
Throughout the year, residents benefit from a full social calendar of events but come summer, the outdoor activities become a daily festivity.
Al fresco dining and live music sessions are always popular at Casa Antonia. The Joy Gospel Singers recently performed a varied selection of songs from their repertoire at the citrus theme party for residents and their guests. Casa Antonia is well known for its lavish summer parties and good food.
Traditional festivities are never missed out at Casa Antonia. From the traditional feast of Imnarja (29 June), which was celebrated with Maltese rabbit on barbeque accommpanied by delicious Maltese appetizers, to the village feast of the Annunciation. Residents attended a special mass at Balzan Parish Church while San Gabriel Band Club entertained the residents at the home’s garden.
In the mornings, residents receive specialised swimming sessions in the pool with an aqua therapist to help them with water exercises and relaxation. This month saw the start of comical morning entertainment by Joe id-Dulli and Veronica followed by Sangria and fresh Maltese bread with olive oil and tomatoes (ħobz biż-żejt).
Other forthcoming special events which residents look forward to are the Barbeque Night and the annual Majjalata in August, and a Fish Night on 10th September.
Casa Antonia Nursing and Residential Home is a distinguished yet affordable home for the elderly.
