Activities for European Mobility Week 2021
Following the success of previous editions, Transport Malta, in conjunction with the Ministry for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects is once again launching annual competitions as part of the European Mobility Week 2021. This year’s European Mobility Week theme is Safe and Healthy with Sustainable Mobility followed by the year’s slogan, Move Sustainably. Stay Healthy.
The Permanent Sustainable Mobility Measures Competition is open to all Local Councils, to which they may submit their proposals. In total, 4 grants will be awarded. The winning Local Council will be awarded a grant of €50,000 whereas the 1st runner-up will be awarded a grant of €30,000. The 3rd and 4th runners-up will be awarded €25,000 each. Applications are to be submitted by not later than the 20th of August 2021.
Local Councils and Non-Governmental Organisations (under the patronage of Local Councils) may submit proposals for the organisation of theme-related events and activities to be held on the 16th and 22nd September 2021. The grant for these activities varies between €1,500 and €2,500 depending on the respective categories.
