On Friday 27 January 2017 at the Orpheum Theatre in Gzira, there will be the launch of the final publication of TAĦŻIŻ4. The editor for this edition was Kit Azzopardi.
TAĦŻIŻ4 was divided into a number of residential seminars and other meetings, including one held in Gozo, during which experimental written works were created. The participants in this edition were Michael Carol Bartolo, Diane Cutajar, Rachelle Deguara, Kimberly Hatherly, Maria Pellicano, and Victoria Pisani. Other participants were Clive Piscopo, Mireille Borg, Yana Mizzi, Matthew Schembri and Gabriel Pace.
During the launch the girl group Cryptic Street, will be playing contemporary music while the evening will be presented by Glen Calleja.
The public is invited to attend this free event, while they will also be presented with a copy of the publication. Refreshments will also be served.
The call for submissions for TAĦŻIŻ5 will be made on that day.

TAĦŻIŻ is an empowerment and formation programme which brings together young people who are interested in creative writing in its diverse forms, both within the context of literature as well as inter-disciplinary artistic concepts.
‘Taħżiż’ looks in a holistic way both towards the process of writing as well as the development of the participants. The programme is also looks at the process of producing cultural products which require an element of writing and the public presentation of these products.
The programme is being carried out in collaboration with the Aġenzija Żgħażagħ together with the L-Għaqda tal-Malti – Università and includes intensive residential workshops, exercises of creative collaboration during the year, as well as the publication and presentation of their work at the end of the programme.
