Former Dutch PM Professor Jan Peter Balkenende at the Westin
Last week Michael Camilleri Kamsky, General Manager of The Westin Dragonara Resort welcomed Professor Jan Peter Balkenende, Professor of Governance, Institutions and Internationalisation at Erasmus University, Rotterdam, Partner Corporate Responsibility at EY (Ernst & Young) and former Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to The Westin Dragonara Resort.
The reason for Professor Jan Peter Balkenende`s stay in Malta was a public Lecture titled ‘A Sustainable Future for Europe’ which he gave last Wednesday at the University of Malta, organised by the University in collaboration with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Malta and EY Malta. The second reason was to give a Lecture titled ‘Malta: Making Size Matter’ at EY’s conference ‘The Economy – Today & Tomorrow’, held last Friday.
The former Prime Minister of the Netherlands was pleased about the warm welcome given upon his arrival to the Westin Dragonara Resort where he has stayed numerous times during his past visits to Malta. He said: `Coming here always feels like coming home’.
