New look for GasanZammit’s employees

GasanZammit Motors Ltd. has recently introduced new uniforms for staff at its Automotive & Marine company showroom in Mrieħel.
To complement the blue attire that represents the organisation’s corporate colour, GasanZammit commissioned the creative talents of local self-taught artist Stephanie Borg to design the uniform neckwear. The updated look is a more sophisticated and fashionable corporate uniform, aimed at making employees feel smarter and more self-confident.

“When GasanZammit approached me with the idea to design the scarves and ties for their new uniforms, I was intrigued! Once some basic requirements were discussed, I started sketching and experimenting with different ideas enjoying full artistic license. The concept and design I finally settled for takes its inspiration from the Maltese cement tiles. I opted for a particular pattern and reinterpreted it in various ways and proportions in shades of light blue and tan colour to complement the blue uniforms of GasanZammit. It’s been a real delight working on this project and I thank GasanZammit for their trust. It’s commendable that a local organisation chose a local artist & designer to add colour and pattern to their corporate image!” said Borg.
Carolyn Zammit, Director of Marketing at GasanZammit, expressed her immense satisfaction for the work performed by Borg. “The idea behind this project was to promote the legacy of our local artists. The design of Maltese cement tiles triggers the importance of local heritage hence injecting more local pride amongst our employees,” said Zammit.
The Maltese cement tiles are a very typical feature found mostly in traditional Maltese townhouses. No doubt, the geometrical patterns and colours of this unique Maltese work of art surely left its signature on our islands’ architectural identity.
