GO welcomes effective implementation of Consumer Affairs Act

GO plc welcomes the decision taken on Tuesday by the Competition and Consumer Appeals Tribunal. This decision, in substance, reinforces the requirement as set out in the Consumer Affairs Act for all operators in the telecommunications sector to ensure that advertising messages and other marketing communications delivered to the public are truthful and transparent.

With specific reference to the decision taken by the Appeals Tribunal, GO would like to reiterate that all products and services marketed by GO as ‘limitless’ are exactly that, and always have been so, because they have never been subject to any usage restrictions or so called ‘fair usage’ policy. This decision, therefore, will have no impact at all on customers who use GO’s limitless packages across mobile and internet services.
