DIZZ Group bonds start trading on MSE
The Malta Stock Exchange on Thursrday officially commemorated the admission of DIZZ Finance plc’s €8 million bond issue to trading on the exchange.
DIZZ Group Chief Executive Officer Diane Izzo was greeted by Malta Stock Exchange Chief Executive Officer Simon Zammit and she created quite a stir when she rang the trading bell no fewer than six times.
Among those present were DIZZ Group Chief Finance Officer Nigel Scerri, sponsoring stockbroker Matthew Bonello from Financial Planning Services, MSE Business Development Manager Cliff Pace and MSE Data and IT Operations Manager Mark Borg Cardona.
A spokesman for the Exchange said: “We take every opportunity to support newly listed companies and their continued presence on the market.”
A DIZZ Group spokesman said this was a significant first for the group, with further initiatives on the Exchange being considered. “We are pleased with the confidence shown in DIZZ Group, with this 5% unsecured bond maturing in 2026, which was issued at par, already starting to trade at over 102.”
