Vodafone Malta is continuing to roll out its 4G network, and is now providing 4G coverage to 70% of the population in Malta. The areas where Vodafone customers can now receive a 4G signal includes major towns and villages in the centre of the island, and extends from the Bugibba and Xemxija areas on the northern coast of Malta down to Marsascala and Birzebbugia in the south.

Vodafone is the only mobile operator to invest in 4G technology in Malta. This underlines the company’s commitment to its customers to provide the very best mobile experience across the Islands of any Operator. Following the introduction of 4G at the end of 2013, and thanks to the rapid expansion of our 4G coverage over the past year, Vodafone customers now have access to the unrivalled speeds and ease of using 4G, which is typically ten times faster than using 3G.
