A new self-help book entitled Common Sense – a better understanding of emotional well-being, launched at Villa Francia in Lija, brought the HSBC Malta Foundation, the Farsons Foundation, the Central Bank of Malta, the Office of the Prime Minister and Agenda Book Shop together in support of this publication. The proceeds of the sale of the book will be donated to Richmond Foundation.

“Dr Curmi’s book approaches diverse life challenges in a way that we may all relate to and learn from. In so doing, ‘Common Sense’ offer a way of reaching out and helping people achieve greater self-awareness and emotional wellbeing in their lives,” said HSBC Malta Foundation Chairman Catherine Gonzi.

Incorporating more than 60 essays by clinical psychologist and psychotherapist Edward Curmi, the book offers jargon-free and readable insights into the human psyche. Colourful illustrations by Marisa Attard lend a light-hearted quality, while also enforcing the various topics addressed in the book. These themes range from guidance on dealing with difficult characters to more serious challenges such as coping with the loss of loves ones.
