MSV Life becomes patron of the BOV Joseph Calleja Foundation

MSV Life, Malta’s largest life insurance company, has become a patron of the BOV Joseph Calleja Foundation.
The Foundation was set up by Bank of Valletta and Malta’s world-renowned tenor Joseph Calleja two years ago with the objectives of supporting talented young persons in realising their full potential in the field of performing arts, and providing assistance to underprivileged children whose situations are not catered for by existing social support programmes.
In the short time since it was set up, the Foundation has supported a number of Malta’s most gifted young artists to further their studies and develop their talent in the world of performing arts. The Foundation has recently launched its ‘Growing through Arts’ programme which seeks to mobilise the therapeutical power of art as a means to reach out to underprivileged children helping them come to terms with emotions and circumstances they might otherwise find it hard to express in their social background.
A spokesman for MSV Life said: “Our company is renowned for its commitment to bringing arts and culture to everyone and to supporting the pillars of what keeps a healthy society thriving – from supporting vulnerable individuals to encouraging in a tangible manner the development of sport, culture and the arts for everybody’s all-round wellbeing. We are honoured to have become patrons of the BOVJCF and do our bit to help society grow in all the aspects a human being needs to lead a decent and dignified life.”
The BOV Joseph Calleja Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that relies on the generosity of patrons and other supporters to raise funds to enable it to pursue its objectives. For the past two years, Joseph Calleja has performed in a Christmas concert organised to raise funds for the Foundation.
