The Hospice Malta is again holding its annual Children’s Summer Club with the support of HSBC Malta Foundation. Children between the ages of four and twelve years are participating in a 5-week programme under the guidance of Hospice Malta social worker Ms Gloria Spiteri and will be assisted by a group of volunteers.
The Hospice Malta Children’s Summer Club 2014 offers care and support to children with family members or guardians who are receiving Hospice Malta’s services. The club holds twice weekly outings in the morning and the children participate in various activities such as swimming, fun parks, cinema, cultural visits and craft sessions.
“The Children’s Summer Club is now in its 15th year. It provides respite to families and at the same time children enjoy educational activities and socialise with others in a fun and friendly environment. This is made possible with the help of our dedicated volunteers who accompany the group and thanks to HSBC Malta Foundation’s renewed support,” said Ms Spiteri.
HSBC Malta Foundation spokesperson expressed appreciation to Hospice Malta, saying: “Hospice Malta is doing extraordinary work with patients and their families. The children’s club is a good example of Hospice Malta’s success at providing holistic support with the entire family in mind”.
