GasanZammit raises €3,000 for annual Puttinu Cares fund-raiser

As part of their on-going efforts to enrich the community, GasanZammit just auctioned off a Honda Civic in aid of Puttinu Cares at the Annual Puttinu Cares Football Marathon, raising a handsome sum of €3,000 for the charity.

The Honda Civic, which was part of the #HondaCivic drive journey and saw a few of our favourite people cruise around in this legendary car was sold to the highest bidder at the Puttinu Cares Football Marathon, with some of the proceeds going towards the funds that will be used for the provision of apartments to house cancer patients receiving treatment in London and their relatives.

“Through this donation, GasanZammit would like to show their appreciation to the dedication shown by this charity in its altruistic mission,” said Carolyn Zammit, Director at GasanZammit. “We believe that we should all work together to help those in need and we hope that this initiatve will encourage others to follow this example.”

This edition of the Puttinu Cares Football Marathon raised a total of over €1.88 million. The marathon included a weekend of fun and solidarity dedicated to children and adults alike. The weekend included varied entertainment with clowns, jugglers and magicians giving all those who attended a huge smile on their face together with a number of football matches organised between different companies and organisations.

“We would like to thank GasanZammit for their support,” said Rennie Zerafa from Puttinu Cares. “Our work in the community would not be possible without the assistance of such organisations from the private sector. This invaluable contribution will help raise funds to support an increasing number of children and families who are passing through very difficult times.”
